This site allows retailers, regardless of size,
to compete with the major chains and broaden their potential user
base by offering a bridal registry. For a flat monthly fee based
upon the size of the store, each participating retailer gets it's
own e-mail address from Your Registry (the site's owner), marketing
information for its brick-and-mortar store, and registration packets
for consumers. Consumers shopping the physical store fill out gift
registries list and send them, plus event information and guest
lists, to Your Registry. The company then sends each invited guest
a Registration Announcement Card with a toll-free number and Internet
password for the guest to either call for the gift list or log on
to see the bride's registry. When they buy something, Your Registry
notifies the retailer, who provides gift fulfillment to the guest.
Your Registry manages and administers the registry, and provides
reports to the retailer listing the current status of registered
items, showing which items have been registered from that specific
store, and reporting monthly and total sales by event. A trained
staff of customer service representatives can answer questions and
process registry information by phone, fax, e-mail or regular mail
during retail hours.
